Who: Kids ages 6+
When: June 22-26 and July 6-10 | Monday through Friday | Full-day or half-day options.
Where: Clonlara School, 1289 Jewett Ave, Ann Arbor, MI.
Week 1: June 22 – June 26
Step into a magical world of clay! – Ages 6+
9:00am – 12:30pm
Campers will create pottery inspired by fantasy and magic. Through hands-on clay building and glazing, students will explore creativity, storytelling, and essential ceramic techniques. While exploring, imagining, and creating with their hands, campers experiment with texture and form, and bring home unique pieces they can be proud of—all in a fun, supportive, and creative environment.
Battlebots – Ages 9+
1:30pm – 5:00pm
Calling all future engineers and robotics enthusiasts! This LEGO robotics camp will have you designing, building, and coding your own battle-ready robots. Choose from bulldozers, rattlesnakes, and turtles or team up with friends to combine your creations and build the ultimate Battlebot. Witness your Battlebot in action at the final showdown at the end of the week! Whether you are a LEGO expert or new to the world of robotics, this camp will transform you into a Battlebot master, ready to dominate the arena.
Through hands-on learning, campers master the essentials of robotics and coding while constructing and programming their own robots. Battlebots is the perfect way for aspiring builders, coders, and competitors to unleash their creativity and bring their robotic visions to life. This camp is ideal for kids who love hands-on projects, friendly competition, and learning new skills. During the week, they use and develop valuable skills in design, coding, and teamwork.
Week 2: July 6 – July 10
Clay meets treats, menus, and imagination! – Ages 6+
9:00am – 12:30pm – Ages 11+
1:30pm – 5:00pm – Ages 6-11
Campers will run their own pretend café—designing clay food, dishes, décor, and even branding. Each day focuses on a new café element while building ceramic skills.
3D Printing Camp – Ages 6+
9:00am – 12:30 – Ages 6-11
1:30pm – 5:00 pm – Ages 11+
3D printing allows for rapid and easy prototyping any creative object that researchers, professionals, and engineers want to test out in the real world by designing them in a computer and using a 3D Printer to build models layer by layer. In this 3D printing camp, students will use professional-grade 3D Printers and Tinercad to explore the latest industrial design process for prototyping, researching, and building solutions.
At our 3D printing summer camp, students will be posed with a series of challenges to their creativity. Using TinkerCad, they will design objects, create their 3D models, test their ideas, and refine them through multiple iterations. When students are satisfied with their design, they will learn to 3D Print their models and will watch in wonder as the object is created before their eyes, layer by layer.
Students will take home their files and 3D printed objects throughout the week.
